RIP David 'Rocky' Rocastle Arsenal Legend

I would like to take a moment to mention an Arsenal legend....David Rocastle, who sadly died 10 years ago today. He died from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He made 228 appearances for Arsenal and scored 23 goals, and today his name has been trending on Twitter #RIPRocky ... take a look!!!

Back to the Blog!

Well I have recently failed on blogging everyday! so time to get back to it. Been back at work this week, quite a few changes happening....time will tell if they are for the better but its a different challenge for me! Quite day off today, had a new timing belt on car which set me back £180.

On to other things, shocking to hear about the 5 year old girl who got caught up in the middle of a shooting in london!!!! Thoughts go out to her family and especially parents...god only know what they are going through right now!

On a lighter note my friend has been posting her work from photographing a recent Chase and Status gig in Nottingham Rock City......brilliant photographer so check out her work here.....

What a day!!!

Ok not the greatest of days, I offered to clean my friends car for her as she is selling it and after spending 3 hours doing my own car yesterday I was in the mood to get up and get it done!!!  2 hours into it having washed it, dried it and polished it I only had the inside and windows left to do!!! Until the farmer on the field next to our house decided to come right upto our fence spreading manure!!!!! Both me and both cars were covered in a fine mist of cow s**t!!! I think it was safe to say i wasn't ammused and he was called every single name under the sun!!!

An hour later he had buggered off home so i set to washing the muck off my friends car and polishing it all over again!!! But good news....their spreading more manure on the field tomorrow!!! I think i'll be getting up early to make sure the cars are moved away!!!

On the up side they both look good....for now!!!!! Oh and yes i did come in for a shower!!!

Small Annoyance!!

Just a quick one for the moment!! Who else find it extremely annoying when you have something planned and other people just slow you down at doing it!! For example at this moment in time I'm waiting to go and clean my car, however the person who's house i'm doing it at (because all the cleaning stuff is there) is just delaying more and more, especially when I have to be out later on today!!!

Anyway enough moaning (for now) hopefully I will do another blog later that will be a little bit more cheery because i wont be sat here wanting to poke someone in the eye!!!

I hope we don't try to change Libya!!!

Ok so here goes my first blog ever!!! Today (21/3/11) has been filled with news from Libya still, how the British government has been voting on if they agree with the action etc. So I thought I'd share my thoughts on the topic!

Firstly and most importantly I would like to spare a thought for all the service men and women from all of the countries involved in these actions and I hope you will join me in this! Now, personally I agree with the action that is being taken at the moment. I think Col. Gaddafi has reigned in terror for long enough, and the fact that he has been willing to turn the military on his own people should say enough about the kind of dictatorship has been ruling Libya for so long!

I am pleased that this action has been undertaken in the right way, the action has the backing of the UN and the Arab League, so nobody can accuse both Britain and America going in alone again. The most important part of this action though, falls upon if the promise of no occupation force being sent into Libya! Yes we should help protect the civilians and provide aid, but under no circumstances should we go in and 'change' their country! It's their land and lets face it who are we to tell someone how to run a country when we seem only capable of making a mess of our own!!! If we had our way, Iraq would now have most of the population either on benefits or unemployed as well!!

Thats me about done for today, it's late and I have an early start! I hope you have enjoyed my first blog and hopefully tomorrows will be a little more light hearted as I will be spending most of the day cleaning my car and not watching Sky News!
